Welcome to my blog.

For the better part of my life, I have engaged in multiple artistic avenues from painting to bad poetry. I believe that art doesn’t need to be perfect and neat. It should be messy, fun, and perfectly imperfect. For me, art is a way to express the emotions that I can’t verbalize. It is a free feeling to create and engage in new ideas. So in this blog, I will talk about art, books, and life in general.  I will do the things that make me happiest, I will create and share.

I was inspired to create this blog and become more active on social media platforms because I was listening to an audiobook titled “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. I know it’s a classic, but I hadn’t read it yet. In this book, there is one part that had me thinking about my father. He worked his entire life, sometimes two jobs because he loved his work and he wanted to be able to have money to retire comfortably someday. Unfortunately, I lost my father to COVID a few months back. He was never able to retire. Like the character in this book he worked his entire life to make things better for others, he had big plans for his retirement, and he had his life stolen from him.

Life is too short to always work for the future. I’m not saying don’t work for the future, but don’t forget to live today, right now. I never seem to have the time to do the things I would like to pursue. Well, today, right now, I am changing that and I look forward to going on this journey with you all.
